How to prepare for the IDC

With a couple of Instructor Development Courses (IDC) coming up in the Spring I thought this would be a great time to offer some tips.  Success in the IDC and at the Instructor Examination (IE) has everything to do with proper preparation. During the IDC candidates will be tested on their skills and knowledge. Candidates can make their lives easier during the IDC by getting as much done before the start of the course as possible.

  1. Get started on the eLearning as soon as possible.
  2. Hop in the pool and work on your demonstration skills and make sure your gear is configured for best results. Call the shop to book a spot for almost any Friday or Saturday.
  3. Brush up on theory with the PADI Dive Theory online or by using the PADI Diving Knowledge Workbook.

It's that easy! I'm also in the midst of assembling a bunch of helpful videos on the AquaSubPro YouTube channel to help all you candidates get ready. I've already uploaded quite a few and hope to have it all done in the next couple of weeks.
