Norbert first started diving with a club in his home country of Poland. Later he was clearance diver in the Navy before coming to Canada in 1990. His first home in Canada was "the rock", Newfoundland where he opened his first dive shop. There he was also instrumental in the start of harvesting sea urchins for the seafood market. In 2002 after selling his dive shop in Newfounland and moving to Toronto he partnered with Jessica and opened AquaSub Scuba Diving Centre.
Melanie is the fish whisperer. She loves to explore reefs and wrecks making fishy friends on her way. She is an active scuba instructor and leads many of the Bahamas trips. Join her on one of our trips and she'll show you her favourite dive sites. Melanie's other passion is horses as you can see by her photo. She sure knows how to pick cheap sports eh?
Tyler learned to dive in 2007 in Ontario and became a PADI Instructor in 2011 through the wisdom and guidance of Jessica. He is a past-President and current Training Director of the Canadian Sub-Aqua Club and enjoys the cold water dives as much as the warm water dives.
In July of 2018, Tyler became Norbert's new partner as Jessica retired from the daily grind of running the shop to spend her days sailing.
Jessica first started scuba diving in 1997 in the Bahamas. Working at resort there is where her passion for scuba diving began. Since then she has climbed the ranks of the PADI pros to achieve the highest level, PADI Course Director, which is a fancy way of saying instructor trainer. Even though she is a co-founder and owner of AquaSub Scuba Diving Centre she still can be found teaching all levels of courses at the shop because she loves teaching!
Willis is a high school music teacher in Toronto where he teaches students with special needs. When not playing the Boomwhackers or singing the “Yellow Submarine” with his students, he can be seen assisting our instructors lead a variety of PADI courses. As an avid diver and photographer, Willis enjoys exploring the beautiful wrecks in Tobermory as well as taking photos of critters in the eerie muck sites of Southeast Asia.
Konstantin is an active scuba instructor and enjoys teaching rescue diver the most. He is also a Freediving isntructor and loves diving the caves in Mexico. His favorite food is anchovies and his role model is Mr. Bean.
Elena is passionate about everything she does! When she started scuba diving she was hooked. She went diving as much as she could to learn more about diving, the environment and the world. Elena is a PADI Instructor and teaches dry suit, deep, wreck, enriched air and underwater navigation. She has also gotten the free diver bug. On top of her love for scuba, she is super into fitness and sailing.
Denis enjoys long walks on the beach and cries at movies. He loves local and exotic diving. Basically anywhere there's water - he's in! Even his bath tub.
Martyna is Norbert's daughter and definitely has his passion for scuba. She spent many years working in the shop and teaching scuba. She is now working on Blackbeards and Cat Ppalu in the Bahamas on the ready to receive AquaSub divers for training or just a fun week of diving!
Certified in 1974, Extensive diving in the Caribbean. Has dived in the Red Sea and Palau in Micronesia. Loves to dive in cooler waters like Brockville, Kingston, Tobermory and BC. Absolutely loves to teach and introduce new divers to this adventure. Is able to teach many PADI Specialities. Current qualification is a Master Instructor. Has worked in the dive industry for over 10 years.
Alex started scuba diving in 2002. He spent several years doing lots of diving on various scuba vacations and taking all the courses he could. He finally took the plunge and became a PADI scuba instructor in 2017. Alex enjoys teaching and taking underwater photos to share the beauty of the underwater world with others.

James is a PADI scuba instructor and worked in the shop for a number of years teaching scuba in Ontario. He now works on Cat Ppalu in the Bahamas and is ready to take you diving!
Ricardo started his diving career in his home country of Mexico. He is a PADI Divemaster, Stand up paddle board Instructor, and shop customer service rep.
He enjoys life coaching and team building and is very interested in human behavior, healthy active living, nature, and sports.
He is also currently expanding his physical literacy by working towards getting his Yoga instructor certification.
Bruno has been diving most of his life. The first 25 years was off the 10 meter platform where he represented Canada during the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. PADI certified since 2011 while living in Florida, Bruno is in the process to becoming a dive instructor. He enjoys cold water diving exploring wrecks in Ontario and diving in tropical waters whenever possible. Bruno dives with both his sons who also share the same passion for scuba.
Chris started scuba diving in 1997 when he was first certified during a trip to Australia. He now holds technical and full cave certifications and loves to dive anywhere but especially in caves in Florida and on shipwrecks in the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence. One of Chris' dreams is to dive the Empress of Ireland.
Elena always has a smile on her face...it's true! She is one happy diver. This has lead her on the path to becoming a PADI Pro so she can share her love of diving with others. Most often you will find her with 2 tanks hanging off of her since she has really gotten into sidemount diving over the past couple of years.
